Someday, Today

Finding meaning in all of life's adventures

SECRETS OF THE WORLD

Intro:

I spent this summer visiting family and friends in the states of the first time since I left in 2019. During my visit I found a lot of my old writings that I saved, some in old journals and others on scraps of paper. This poem has always been one of my favorites, originally written March 5, 2011. I was in college, embracing carelessness, freedom, and all things that come with being on your own in a new place with new people at this age

I heard the symphony of love

as I embraced life’s sweetest dance

I heard the whispering echos of the past

as the waves caressed my soul into a trance

And as I nestled on the powdery shore

I watched the secrets of the world unfold

as I slept beneath the stars

About Me

Just your normal millennial trying to make it in this world. I love going to new cities, eating new foods and meeting new people- but I usually prefer the company of my cats. I’m inviting you to come laugh, cry, travel and eat with me on the crazy ride we call adulthood.
